The wife of the Swedish Ambassador to South Africa came to a lovely brunch this last week, and brought me a box of Ouma rusks. Rusks are my favourite South African coffee time snack. They come in different flavours (muesli, wholewheat, chocolate, aniseed, mixed seed etc). Needless to say, I was delighted!
South African rusks are not the same as the baby teething biscuits in the UK or the dry biscuits (skorpor) in Sweden
And little Harley is proving to be a balm for our souls. He is very much like Fluffy in that he is very purry, loves all food, and not at all afraid. He is so tiny and delicate and needs extra care. We need that at the moment
And, in the name of Zimba, the cat who died, I have foster-sponsored little Giulia. All her costs will be covered until she finds a forever home.
